Does the use of video improve patient satisfaction in the consent process for local-anaesthetic urological procedures?

PurposeTo assess patient satisfaction with the use of portable video media (PVM) for purpose taking informed consent common urological outpatient procedures performed under local anaesthesia.MethodsPatients undergoing following were approached recruitment: flexible cystoscopy or without biopsy, transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy insertion removal a ureteric stent. The study involved cross-over between standard verbal (SVC) PVM consent, randomised to start SVC consent.
